Commuter FSA

All Inovalon associates have the availability of a Commuter Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Transit and parking benefits allow you to pay for your work-related monthly commuting expenses, such as public transit, vanpooling, and parking fees, using pre-tax dollars.

The IRS sets the monthly maximum that may be deducted before taxes (pre-tax). For 2024, the IRS monthly maximum for both transit and parking is $315 for each.

You may enroll, change, or stop your parking or transit contributions at anytime throughout the year by logging into the Inovalon’s Benefits Information and Enrollment website:

  1. Click here to get started
  2. Enter your Username (your username is your work email)
  3. Enter your Password
  4. Once logged in, select Parking/Transit Changes and follow the prompts on the screen

Metropass

Metropass is a discount transit pass available to associates in the Minneapolis office.

The Metropass costs $83 per month and allows you unlimited bus and light rail rides while enrolled. The cost is taken out of your check on a pre-tax basis, $41.50 per pay period. Please note, there is no need to submit this expense through the Commuter FSA as it is already taken out of your check as a pre-tax benefit. Participation in the Metropass Program does, however, offset the monthly transportation max allowable under the Commuter FSA.

You may enroll in the Metropass benefit by completing this form. Enrollments must be received by the 5th of the month in order for the Metropass to be effective the first of the following month.

Metropasses are sent to the Minneapolis office and can be picked up from Nettie Rymanowski.

You may deactivate, suspend or cancel your Metropass by completing this form. Submissions must be received by the 20th of the month in order for cancellation to be effective the 1st of the following month.
